News Death Notice
STAFFORD, Mrs. Ida M. age 79, of Dayton, passed away April 27, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Born in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, a resident of Dayton the majority of her life, and a retired editor at W.P.A.F.B. after 30+ years of service. She was a devoted member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served as an usher. Preceded in death by her father, Harry Wallace; mother, Margaret (William) Leavell; husband, Glenn Stafford. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Alan K. Stafford, Sr.; brother, Howard (Ivell) Wallace; sisters, Jennie Nelson & Annette Wallace (Curtis Evans); grandchildren, Alan Jr. & Teah Ida Stafford; great grandchildren, Aubrey Stafford & JayJuan Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church, 1501 W. Third Street. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Wednesday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
