CHILES, Jack B. age 84 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born February 9, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to Clarence Chiles and Alice Heiney; he is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean (Carter) Chiles, 4 children: Jeffrey (September), Joseph (Brittany), Jennifer, Jill (David), 4 grandchildren: Chelsea, Wyatt, Michael, Adam, 2 step grandchildren: Jace, Ashtin, sister Doris, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Thea and best friend Moochie. He was a graduate of Parker Co-operative High School and became a tool maker at NCR. He then started his own masonry cleaning company, and later entered the insurance industry establishing Chiles & Associates. He served his country as a member of the Ohio Air National Guard. He was a passionate fan of University of Dayton Flyer basketball, Ohio State University football and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He donated his body to Wright State Medical School. Memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 1st at 10:30am at Church of the Ascension. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton Oh 45420
