HARDING, Jack L. Age 83 of Englewood, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Englewood Manor. Jack was born August 24th, 1929 in Dayton to the late James W. and Gladys L. (Siefman) Harding and was also preceded in death by his older brother, James Harding II. He was a 1947 Graduate of Fairview High School and a 1962 graduate of the University of Dayton, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Janet (Meadows) Harding, daughter Joy and her husband Rick Rogers of Springfield, sons Jeffrey of Englewood, Jon and his wife Catina of Toledo, 5 grandchildren, sister Jeanne Rollins, brother Richard Harding, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Haffner, Zimmer, Inc. where he was a manufacturer's representative. Previously, he was a sales manager and also served as company Secretary for the Behm Glass Co. Jack began his career with PPG. He was an active, charter member of United Christian Church, where he had served as an elder, financial secretary, Sunday school teacher, trustee, and board moderator. He was a giving, caring, and loving man with a terrific sense of humor who enjoyed hosting his family for many memorable holidays and special occasions. Jack loved to travel, whether it be to the tables of Las Vegas or the beach at Siesta Key. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5th at United Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 8611 Hoke Rd. in Clayton, OH by Pastor Coleen Beasecker. Interment Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at United Christian Church in Jack's memory.
