PUTERBAUGH, John Lee age 80 of Englewood, formerly of West Milton passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by his father Robert Arthur Puterbaugh, mother Irene Wanda (Cohan) Ziehler, step-father Vernon Joseph Ziehler, brother Richard Alan Puterbaugh. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Deane Janis (Werts) Puterbaugh, sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Karen Puterbaugh - Kernersville, N.C., Jerry and Sharon Puterbaugh - West Milton, daughters and sons - in - law Cheryl Puterbaugh and Brendan Bonham - Tampa, FL., Judy and Todd Broaddus - Alamogordo, NM., 8 grandchildren, 3 great - grandchildren , sister Kathryn Jeane Ziehler - Huber Heights. John served his country proudly in the US Airforce during the Korean War, was retired from Reynolds and Reynolds, worked for many years at Patterson's Flowers, was a member of West Milton United Church of Christ, Church Choir, Miami Valley Folkdancers, Past President of West Milton Lion's Club, played Santa Claus in the West Milton area for many years, enjoyed his children, grandchildren, fishing and crossword puzzles. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Hale - Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton with Rev. Mark Moore officiating, burial to follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Hale - Sarver.
