News Death Notice

KRUMAL, Josephine Stephenson age 88, of Clayton, Ohio completed her life on earth September 20, 2013 at home. She now rests with God the Almighty. She was born June 4, 1925 in Lexington Nebraska and was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Josephine Stephenson. She is survived by her husband, Tony, daughter Julie, grandchildren, John, Jason and Megan. A prolific and gifted musician, she received her PhD in music from Ball State University. Josephine's entire life was dedicated to teaching voice and piano privately and at various colleges including Sinclair which she did post retirement. When not teaching she performed on stage, on and off Broadway, had a television series and parts in two movies. Josephine was also the musical director for the Kenley Players for multiple seasons. For over 60 years, she glorified God by being an organist and choir director at many churches with Englewood United Methodist Church being her last. Josephine played the piano and sang up until two months before her death. Alzheimer's robbed her of so much, but never affected her musical ability. Memorial service to be held October 2, 2013, at Englewood United Methodist Church at 7:30pm. Heartfelt thanks to Tahira and Chaplain Sylvia of Hospice of Dayton. Memorial contributions can be made to The Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation at www.terrisfight.org
