Family-Placed Obituary

ACHOR, Marion W. age 88 of Friendship Village, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Marion was born April 25, 1919 in New Vienna, OH, son of the late F.M. & Ida Belle Achor. He was a retired employee of the NCR Corporation, was a WW II Air Force Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Columbus Post #888. Preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marion is survived by his wife of 70 years, E. Elizabeth Achor; 1 daughter, Martha Ann Logan (Douglas) of Sun City Center, FL; 1 son, F.M. Achor (Jill) of Kettering; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 11 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until time of service.
