Family-Placed Obituary

BOBBITT, Max Lincoln age 77, of Riverside, OH passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Crestview Manor. He was born in New Vienna, OH on February 12, 1930 to Cleveland and Edith Marie (Cox) Bobbitt, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and his wife, Velma Bobbitt and George Bobbitt; and a sister, Donna June Bobbitt. Max is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Wanda C. Bobbitt; his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Tom Garrett; his son and daughter-in-law, Max Duane and Debbie Bobbitt; seven grandchildren, Max Luke, Zach, and Sarah Bobbitt, Leah, Steven, Bryce and Diane Garrett; six nephews, Larry (Joann) Bobbitt and family, Johnny (Roberta) Bobbitt and family, Donny Bobbitt and family, David (Loretta) Bobbitt and family, Mike Bobbitt, and Ricky (Tammy) Bobbitt and family. Max graduated from Ross High School in 1949. He was drafted into the Army in 1951 and served 2 years in the Washington D.C. area. He worked at N.C.R. as an electrician from 1953 until 1969. It was there he met his life's companion, Wanda Marie Combs, with whom he shared 52 years. Max began teaching electrical wiring at the Greene County Career Center in 1970 and retired in 1992. An avid golfer, Max enjoyed being a ranger at both Heatherwood Country Club and at Beavercreek Golf Course. Max's love of travel took him to all 50 United States and 4 foreign countries. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2007, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. William Sullivan will be officiating. Interment will follow in Milledgeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. Thursday and from 12 P.M. until the time of services on Friday.
