News Death Notice
COLLINS, Michael R. age 57, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Michael was a driver for Voss Automotive Group and worked at Dayton Daily News for over 28 years, attended Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church and was very active in sports locally. He is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow "Jack" in 2004. Michael is survived by his wife, Sue (Buchenroth) Collins; son, Michael G. Collins (Candice Thompson) of Huber Heights; mother, Bonnie Collins of Huber Heights; brothers, Jack L. (Marsha) Collins & Larry Joe Collins of Huber Heights; grandchildren, Michael A. & Lilly; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor Hollie VanHoose officiating. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 PM. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 in Michael's memory. The family would like to express a sincere Thank You to the staff of Wellcare Home Healthcare & Hospice of Dayton for their compassion & care.
