News Death Notice
BROIDA, Paul D. age 85, of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1926 in Oil City, PA, son of the late Jacob & Minnie (Gittelson) Broida. Paul was a retired Civil Service employee of WPAFB, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was the Owner/Operator of the Funnie Farm Bookstore in Vandalia for 27 years. Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice (Smithers) Broida; 1 son, Michael Broida of St. Louis, MO; 2 daughters, Marta Dickerson (Kevin) of Richmond, IN and Jo Clark (Paul) of Huber Heights; 2 granddaughters, Jamison Koogler and Sharon (Koogler) Stewart (Joshua) and 1 great-grandson, Sagan Stewart. It was Paul's wish that his body be cremated and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vitas Hospice in Paul's memory.
