News Death Notice
WELCH, Pauline Of Bellbrook, passed away August 17, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on September 11, 1921 in Harlan, Kentucky, the daughter of Carmon and Grady Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herman Welch, and an infant grandson John Welch. Pauline is survived by what she liked to refer to as her "4 perfect kids" Peggy Engeler of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Sandi Harner (Don) of Xenia, Bill Welch (Marty) of Xenia, Mark Welch (Lisa), of Fairbanks, Alaska, six grandchildren John Mark Blair, Scott Harner (Charlene), Amy Thompson (Jason) Ashley Norvelle (Randy), Tim Welch and Beth Person (Lee), five great-grandchildren Nathan Blair, Stephanie Blair, Zachary Thompson, Jacob Thompson and Sarah Harner, sister Wanda Flowerday of Rochester, New York, many friends that she loved deeply, and her two black labs Baron and Kona. Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bellbrook, loved her church family, and served as Church Treasurer and head of the kitchen staff. She was a Bellbrook resident since 1952 and head bookkeeper for 16 years at Bellbrook Community Bank (now Huntington). She will also be lovingly remembered for her love of her children and grandchildren and for "sitting on her patio, drinking coffee and watching her grass grow". The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon Tuesday August 21st at the First Baptist Church of Bellbrook, 4100 W. Franklin Street. Funeral services will follow at noon with Jim Gifford and Al Banner officiating. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
