News Death Notice
THIMMES, Msgt Robert 78, of Piqua formerly of Enon passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in Piqua. He was born June 21, 1934 in Lancaster to the late Walter and Mary Thimmes. Robert retired from the United States Air Force. He is survived by a daughter, Kelly Smith of Fairborn, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kimberly Thimmes of Piqua, a sister, Pat Speakman, seven grandchildren, Raymond, Rick, Emily, Brook (Jonathan), Dawn, Casey (Dustin), Kyle; three great-grandchildren, Dean, Cassie, Kael and one great-granddaughter that is on her way. Funeral service will be held 1:00 Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery with Military honors being performed by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 12-1 Wednesday prior to the service in the funeral home.
