Robert William (Bob) BURROWES Obituary

News Death Notice

BURROWES, Robert William "Bob" passed away peacefully from unexpected health complications this week, with loved ones around him. Lover of life, party boy, ferociously loyal family man, fixer of all things, gentle spirit with smiling eyes, a work ethic of epic proportions, Browns fan and the ultimate class clown... his answer was always yes. He loved to play, to be with people, to talk, to be outside, on the water or in the middle of a project... any project. He had this wonderful way of making you feel uncomfortably comfortable no matter who you were or how long you'd known him. Laughter and grins always followed in his wake, and what a joyful wake it was. His cherished family includes: children Becky Burrowes, Jason Burrowes, Meghan Burrowes and Kyle Burrowes and their spouses; six beautiful grandchildren Kate, Jack, Will, Jalen, Jurnee and Jamison; his father Jim Burrowes; his siblings Bill Burrowes, Belinda Kidwell, Patrick Burrowes and Jimmy Burrowes and all of their spouses and significants; and his partner in all things, Kimberly Collett, and her children Cory and Connor Collett. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Burrowes. They, along with their extended family and friends, will continue to treasure every moment they were graced to call him theirs. His business families: Korrect Plumbing, his own Advance Mechanical Plumbing and Heating, Dayton Tradesource and Olive, an urban dive, will remember him as the hardest worker, the man you called when no one else could figure it out, the goofball who made you stop and listen and laugh, for just a minute, before he got to business and we know there are desk folks all over the Miami Valley that will miss him calling in and cheering up their day. He was a professional good guy. Visitation and story sharing will be from 3-5pm Tuesday, April 29th, 2014, with a memorial service beginning at 5pm at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Southwestern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Dayton or Hospice of Dayton. If you can't attend services... raise a glass to the man with us wherever you are. Love you long time, Bob Burrowes.
