News Death Notice

HATFIELD, Ruth L. Age 93 of Greenville passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Brethren's Home, Greenville. She was born October 18, 1919 in Miami County. Preceded in death by her parents Harry and Goldie (Swank) Mote, beloved husband R. Howard Hatfield, 1 great - grandchild, brothers Floyd, Max, Eugene, Wilbur and Bruce Mote, sisters Flo Nitchman and Mary Sowry. Ruth is survived by her loving family, sons and daughters - in - law Ron and Elois Hatfield - Greenville, Doyle and Nancy Hatfield - Lima, Larry and Darlene Hatfield - John Day, Oregon, daughters and sons-in-law Beverly and Dennis Fourman-Greenville, Shirley and Stan Hicks - Eaton, 20 grandchildren, 53 great - grandchildren, 9 great - great grandchildren, sisters Doris Saunders and Inez Welbaum. She was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Church and was an avid reader. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating, burial to follow at Old Ludlow Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Hale-Sarver.
