News Death Notice
SNIDER, Willard Grover 87, of Lebanon, OH, died October 12, 2013. He was born on April 4, 1926 in Georgetown, Ohio the fourth of nine children of Grover C. Snider and Julia (Wood) Snider. After high school, he attended and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Agriculture. Willard served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U. S. Army. In 1951 he married JoAnn (Marquis) Snider. He spent 38 years with what was originally known as the Farm Bureau Cooperative, later Landmark. He began his career as petroleum manager and retired as the regional general manager. Willard is survived by his wife, four children Mike Snider (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, Cathy Riggin of Lebanon, Becky Woods (Michael) of Columbus and Debbie Snider of Lebanon; by eight grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by one brother, Ralph Snider (Maxine) of Georgetown, OH, and four sisters, Eula Mae Gaskin of Bethel, Gladys Hollis (Larry) of Cincinnati, Phyllis McKinney (Bob) of Georgetown, and Jewel Moore (Keith) of Irving, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Snider and two sisters, Norma Moore and Frances Warren. For 58 years he was an active member of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church serving 3 terms on session and several years on the Missions Committee. He was a member of the Lebanon Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and a long time coordinator and volunteer of the Lebanon Food Pantry. Willard loved camping, traveling, following sports with his beloved Buckeyes and especially loved getting together with family and friends. . Visitation, Tuesday October 15, 2013 from 5-8 PM with funeral service on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11 AM, all at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Reverend Peter Larson officiating.
