News Death Notice

CAMP Jr., William Earnest "Ernie" age 63 of Dayton, departed this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born October 16, 1950. He was taught to serve the Lord at an early age. Ernie graduated from Roosevelt High School, class of 1968, and a graduate of Earlham College, class of 1972. He would rather fish than to eat, play volleyball or golf. He was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Co. for many years. He also worked for New Choice Community School. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Celestine Camp; grandparents, Henry and Minnie McLemore; brother, Clarence L. Taylor; nephew, Mark A. Shoecraft Sr. and uncles and aunts. His loving survivors include his wife, Diane Camp; (3) daughters, Iamia Perkins of Richmond, IN, Jamila Camp and Ashley (Bruce) Norman; son, Christopher, all of Dayton; (2) sisters, Joanne McDonald and Linda (Joseph) Witherspoon; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Williams and Jackie of Washington, D.C.; mother-in-law, Mavis of D. C., and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special cousin, William Walthall of Georgia. Funeral service 1:00 P.M., WEDNESDAY, September 18, 2013 at CORINTIAN BAPTIST CHURCH, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd., with Reverend Dr. P. E. Henderson, officiating. The family will receiv friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Greencastle Cemetery.
