News Death Notice

ADKINS, Homer of Fairborn, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 11, 1942 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. He married Sandra K. Adkins from Oklahoma City, who passed away in 2005. He was also preceded in death by a brother Leonard Adkins. He is survived by two daughters, Tamara K. Strausbaugh and her husband Shane and Kimberly H. Faulkner and her husband Jim. Five grandchildren Mara, Austin, Cheyenne, Dakota and Chelsea. Also, survived by his two brothers Vernal Adkins and his family, Earl Barton and his wife Mary. His two nephews Ross Homer Barton and Junior Barton, along with two great-nephews William and Alexander Barton. He owned Homer's Automotive and Towing in Fairborn until 1999. He worked and lived in the community since he was fifteen years old. He was a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and his devotion and love will be greatly missed by all of us. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday February 20,2011, 2:00-4:00 P.M. in the Burcham Funeral Home, Fairborn where funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 P.M. with Rev.
