News Death Notice
BOGGS, Mina Belle (Richardson) age 80, of Dayton formerly of Carter, Kentucky, passed away Monday evening, April 2, 2012, at her residence. She was born April 7, 1931, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Christopher "Kit" and Arminta Pitts Richardson. Mina was a graduate of Morehead State University and taught school for 53 years. She started teaching in a one-room school in Kentucky and ended her career at Beverly Gardens School in Riverside, Ohio. She was of the Methodist faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cyrus Richardson, and two sisters, Mildred Lewis and Cynthia Hilger. Mina is surived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Teresa and Charles Smyth of Riverside and Sandra Heffner of Kettering; three special grandchildren, Nicolette Smyth, Nathalie Smyth, and Todd Heffner; two brothers, William Floyd Richardson of Kettering and Sandy Richardson of Medway; and one sister, Florence Smith of Kettering. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Richardson Cemetery in Carter, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beverly Gardens School, 555 Enright Avenue, Riverside, OH 45431 or do a random act of kindness.
