News Death Notice
SHARTLE, Marcella Savage Church Hill- Marcella Savage Cox Shartle, 67, of Church Hill, TN, formerly of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning (May 6, 2012) at her residence. She was born in Knox County, TN. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Frances Buckner Savage; a sister, Vivian Beverly; her brother, Carl David Savage; grandparents, Thomas and Lula Buckner, Otto and Lilly Savage. Marcella is survived by her daughters, Barbara S. Rhoades, Sheila C. Ligier, Sherry Weinert and husband, Scott, Pam Ison and husband, Jason, Roberta Dolph; a son, Lester Shartle; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Christine (Cricket) Barnette and husband, Ed; brother, Rick Hutton; her step-mother, Georgia Savage; nieces and nephews, Tammy, Mark, Amber, Kelly, Kim, and Jason; a great niece and great nephew, Emma and Preston. A visitation will be held on Tuesday (May 8, 2012) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (May 9, 2012) at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ed Barnette and Brother Ed Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Cathy Carter. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Church Hill Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
