News Death Notice

YOUNG, Miss Annie Juanita of Westerville, Ohio made her transition to be with the Lord on May 5, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital where she suffered a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Annie Frances Young of Ansted, West Virginia, Two sisters: Mary Young Williams and Pamela Young, and brother John Young Jr. She is survived by one sister, Vernice Calloway, Columbus, Ohio and eight brothers: Leslie (Bertha) Beckley, West Virginia, Lawrence (Rebecca) Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Joseph Young Sr. of London, Ohio, Michael (Cynthia) Charleston, West Virginia, Arthur (Jeanette) Ansted, West Virginia, Melvin Sr. (Lorie) Nashville, Tennessee, Vernon DeWayne (Toni) Cleveland Heights Ohio, Glen Sr. (Joyce) Raeford, North Carolina. Two God-daughters: Belinda A. Calloway, Indianapolis, Indiana and Renee Adrainne Revere, Fairborn, Ohio. Nieces and nephews - 38, great nieces and nephews - 19, great-great nieces 4. Annie attended Fayette County Public Schools and graduated from the former Simmons High School in Montgomery, West Virginia. She graduated from Bliss College in Columbus, Ohio where she earned a degree in Business. She later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central State University. She was employed by the federal government as well as the state of Ohio. Annie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the muddy waters of Mill Creek by her late father, Deacon John W. Young and the late Rev. Samuel W. Williams. Miss Young moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1960 and joined Bethany Baptist Church upon her Christian experience under the Christian Leadership of the late Rev. A. W. Wood. The viewing will be Thursday at 11am and service will begin at 12pm at Bethany Baptist Church, 959 Bulen Ave., Columbus, OH. 43209. Friday's memorial service will be in Ansted, WV. at 12pm.
