News Death Notice
ACHOR, Edward Lewis of Xenia, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1934 in Wilmington, OH, the son of Donald and Helen (Walls) Achor. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bonnie Jean (Donohoo) Achor in 2004. He was a graduate of New Vienna High School. During High School, Eddie was active with the Future Farmers of America, and served as President of their FFA chapter. He was very proud to continue working as a farmer throughout his life. He was also employed with NCR for 18 years, and was the owner of Eddie Achor Well Drilling. He was a member of the F&AM #37 in Xenia. He is survived by his children: Michael Lee (Cindy) Achor of Englewood; Kerry Edward Achor of San Francisco, CA; Keith M. (Deborah) Achor of Piqua, OH; Trudy E. Achor of Xenia; and Mary Jo Parman of Xenia; sisters and brother: JoAnne (Francis) Michael of Leesburg, OH; Betty Young; Judy Achor and Donnie Achor, all of New Vienna, OH; grandchildren: Dr. Michelle (Vern) Achor-Whitt; Lauren E. (Eric) Bair; Justin D. Achor (Amy Etherington); and Sarah J. Achor (Sean Griffin); great-grandchildren: Madeleine J. Whitt and Zane D. Achor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would also like to acknowledge his special caregivers, Jeanne, Becky and Pat. Funeral services will be held 11:30 Monday, May 14th at the Church of Christ, 146 West St., New Vienna, OH 45159 with Pastor Bradford Clouse officiating. Interment to follow in New Vienna IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3-5 PM at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N.
