News Death Notice

ELLIOTT, Lyndall M. "Culligan Man" Age 91, born in Vienna, Johnson County, Illinois, died suddenly on May 19, 2012 at his residence in The Wellington Retirement Home. His body was donated to Wright State University, School of Medicine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gert Elliott and his older brother, Demoin Elliott. He is survived by his wife Aileene Elliott, two sons, Charles T. Elliott and Lynn W. Elliott, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Lyn served in the United State Navy for the duration of WWII. He graduated from chiropractic school in 1948 and retired as a chiropractic doctor because of health reasons. He was in the insurance business for many years, later, he became manager of Culligan Dayton from which he retired in 1984. He was a past President of the Kiwanis Club. For many years he was the starter at Yankee Trace Golf Club. He was a devoted fan of UD basketball, golf and the Lawrence Welk show. Lyn was a lovable character and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 5, 2012 in the chapel at the Wellington, 2656 W. Alex-Bell Road, Dayton, Ohio.

I live in Vienna, IL and Lyn's obituary was in the Vienna Times last week. I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I have looked for his obituary in the Dayton paper since reading it here. Very ironic. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Karla Hale
