News Death Notice
WALTERS, Myrna Arlene was born October 22, 1935 to Ethel McNinch Kiger and Claude Kiger. She went on to graduate from Wilbur Wright High School in 1953. She met Charles (Chuck) Walters, her true love, and they were married May 19, 1956. They left Dayton, an area Myrna loved, and lived in several cities before settling in Lexington, Ky for the majority of their 56 years together. Myrna loved being with Chuck but the two of them came to Dayton often to visit her sister, Mary and brother-in-law Lou. The 4 of them made homemade sauerkraut and tomato juice for years and also made trips to Vegas and Lake Tahoe in the early years. The guys used to hunt squirrels and ducks from a canoe and the gals went shopping and watched movies. Myrna and Chuck were avid readers.. often coming to breakfast with a book in their hands. Myrna left us Memorial Day May 28, 2012. She was buried June 1st in Salyersville. Ky. She leaves behind to mourn her her beloved husband, Chuck, beloved daughter and son, Kimberley and Kevin. 2 grand children, 3 great grand children. sisters Mary (Lou) Bruns and Mildred (Ray) Dunaway and countless nieces and nephews and family members and I am sure there are many friends in Dayton, Ohio who will remember and miss her. To know Myrna was to love her and she'll never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Turtle
