News Death Notice
SIMMONS, Marion 85, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2012. She was born June 6, 1926 in Stevenson, Alabama the daughter of Henderson and Mattie Lee (Robinson) Watkins. Mrs. Simmons had been employed as a Manager with J. C. Penney and was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Her memory will cherished by her loving and devoted daughter, Debber (James) Brandon of Springfield, Ohio; loving son, Woodrow L. Simmons of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Mary Hardric of Hollywood, California; grandchildren, Dana L. Jones of Middle River, Maryland and Raymond (Toya) Jones Jr. of Springfield, Ohio; great granddaughter, Kayla M. McLean of Middle River, Maryland; sister-in-law, Lucille Carter of Springfield, Ohio; special friends, Alma Westmoreland, Agnes Starling, Ethel Ferguson and Minister Robert and Minola Edwards. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
