News Death Notice

GEORGE, Cewillia C. age 84, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was born November 7, 1927 in Richmond, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Richmond High School Class of 1946, a life long member of The Tabernacle Baptist Church where she sang in the senior choir, member of the Noon Day Prayer Group. Cewillia enjoyed bowling, gardening and playing pokeno. She retired from the Veterans Administration after 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. George; parents, Parker and Geneva Chenault. She is survived by her children, Edward E. George, Geneva George Hinton, Donald G. George, Ernie (Karim) M. George and Carol (Aaron) Blair; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; cousin, Lilly M. Gilbert. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at The Tabernacle Baptist Church (380 S. Broadway St., Dayton, Ohio) with Rev. Dr. Ernest E. Graves officiating.
