RHODES, Alice Norman 80, of Dayton, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on May 30, 1932 to Beverly & Catherine (Williams) Johnson. Alice had worked at Sunshine Biscuit and later retired from General Motors with over 20 years of service. She was a good Christian lady and member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 25 years, James Rhodes; daughter, Beverly Norman Wetzel; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Jimmy Norman, Paul & Karen Norman, Darrell & Lisa Norman; 6 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Carrier; numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Special thanks to the staffs at Walnut Creek Nursing Center & Hospice of Dayton for their loving care of Alice. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Jack Little, officiating. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
