News Death Notice

BALLWEG, Gregory A. 62, died on June 13, 2012 in Arlington, TX. Originally from Dayton, OH Greg lived in New York City for most of his life. Greg was preceded in death by his father Marion. He is survived by his mother Dorothy, Beavercreek, OH; sisters Nancy Byler (Chuck) Dayton, OH; Marcia Constantine, Euless, TX; Kimberly Battes (Hal) Arlington, TX and Annette Ballweg (John) Beavercreek, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was the Visual Merchandise Manager at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York for over 30 years. He was a key member of the design team responsible for the famous Saks Christmas Windows as well as responsible for all new Saks' store openings throughout the United States. Greg also did freelance work for Gucci and Ferragamo. He was a graduate of the Dayton Art Institute and Chaminade High School in 1967. He was a practical joker and was always ready for an adventure. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 1 from 1PM - 3PM with a Funeral Mass immediately following at 3PM at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall.
