News Death Notice
HAMMOND, Theresa Marie age 85, of Dayton, OH left her earthly bonds for her eternal journey on July 5, 2012. She will be joining her parents Onezime and Margueritte Oullette Sirois (Lavoie) and her beloved husband of 47 years, Eugene L. Hammond. She is survived by her three children, Theresa M. (Roger) Brower of Dayton, James L. (Rochelle) Hammond of Jamestown, and Marvin E. (Susan) Hammond of Centerville; two sisters, Mina Paulin of Grand Isle, ME, Jeanne (Phillip) Martel of Plantsville, CT; one brother, Paul Oullette of Hartford, CT; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Theresa was a founding member of St. Helen's Parish in Dayton. She was a member of St. Helen's Leisure Club and Dayton Catholic Seniors Club. Theresa was an avid crafter and seamstress. She made many dolls and items for the St. Helen's Festival for years. Family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, July 9, 2012 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 or to St. Helen's Leisure Club, 605 Granville Place, Dayton, OH 45431.
