News Death Notice
MCCORMICK, Robert C. age 79 of Englewood, passed away July 5, 2012. He was born December 25, 1932 in Crossville, TN to the late Dallas and Nellie McCormick. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sally McCormick; and brother, Doyal McCormick. Bob is survived by his sons: Jeffrey (Barbara) McCormick and Robert (Lisa) McCormick; grandchildren: Brittany McCormick, Kelsey McCormick, Riley McCormick, Connor McCormick, Ashley Taylor, Angie Taylor, Jason Meade and Christian Meade; 2 sisters: Dixie (Bob) Parks and Opal (Gene) Mohr; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., having served in the Korean War. He worked at NCR for 25 years and then retired from General Motors in 1997. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday. Pastor Roger Hamilton officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood.
