GLANTON, Mrs. Oretha age 81, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 16, 2012 at Kindred Hospital. A native of Newnan, Georgia and a resident of Dayton for 56 years. A retired employee of Dayton Public Schools after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Garland Glanton, Jr.; son, Donald Glanton; daughters, Marsha & Jeanette Glanton. Survivors include 1 sister, Willie Pearl Makeupson; 1 son, Larry Glanton; 4 daughters, Patricia, Carolyn, Mary C. & Shelia Glanton; 2 grandsons, Brian & Jason Glanton; 4 granddaughters, LaTasha, Brandi, Cherry & Kimmie; 1 great grandson, Landon; 4 great granddaughters, Michaela, Mi'Kel, Nicole & Brianna; a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing service will be held 1 pm Friday, July 20, 2012 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue. Pastor Anthony D. Smith officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
