News Death Notice
PURKEY, Joanne Fry age 78 of Franklin, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 21 at Spring Hills of Middletown. She was born April 8, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Herman and Helen Fry. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; brothers, Walter, Dick, Bob, and Bill Fry; and her sisters, Mary Fry, Margaret Norris, Nancy Smith, and Betty Norman. Joanne is survived by her children, Joseph Purkey and Jackie Purkey; a brother, Lester Fry; and seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Julie, Josh, Joanie, Dustin, Natalie, and Emily. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces', nephews, family, and friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Ronald Mueller officiating at St. Paul Lutheran Church (500 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005) Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-8 PM at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin). Burial will be in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. www.anderson-fh.com. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Franklin Food Pantry, or Hospice of Dayton.
