News Death Notice

STEWART, Nora Reva age 80, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday August 1, 2012 at the Hospice of Dayton. Reva worked as a nannie for private homes for 24 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Kettering and taught Sunday school for 61 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Clarence & Ora Slagle; brother, Edgar Burley Slagle; and sister, Norma Bickett. Reva is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Andrew & Teresa Stewart of Centerville; daughter & son-in-law, Kristy & Rick Lane of Bellbrook; brother & sister-in-law, Rev. Sam & Leona Slagle of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Stephanie Wood, Nathan (Celeste) Lane & Lauren Lane; special loved ones, John Roberts, Betty & Claude Cheatham, and Sandy & Logan Cheatham; other relatives and friends. Funeral service 10 AM Monday, August 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Road with Pastors Chad Keck, Barry Jude, and Nick Osborn officiating. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road from 2-5 PM Sunday. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Reva Stewart Bible Fund at First Baptist Church of Kettering. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Homes, Huber Heights Chapel.
