News Death Notice

KELLER, Henry Earnest age 74, formerly of Dayton, died peacefully in Nashville, Tenn., on Aug. 1, 2012. Preceded in death by his father, Henry Earnest Keller; mother, Lillian Mae Keller, sister Ida Mae Kraft and nieces BJ Kraft and DeAnn Swartz. Survived by his loving wife Joyce Keller (Kiracofe), daughters Kathleen Kizirnis (Nicholas) and Charissa Keller (Jason Dove), five beloved grandchildren and nephews George and Timothy Swartz and Charles Winemiller. Henry attended Patterson Cooperative High School and earned an associates degree in business. He worked at Key Bank for 40 years and contributed to many community organizations. Most recently, he volunteered at Horizon Hospital and Guardian Hospice in Dickson, Tenn., where he helped heal and comfort many with his broad smile and hearty laugh. Henry met his lord and savior in the early '80s and served passionately at Salem Church of God, Dayton, and First Baptist Church, Dickson, Tenn., for many years. His unshakeable character and faith were matched by a physical strength that he loved to express in athletic pursuits: running, handball, racquetball, basketball, bicycling and chasing grandchildren. Henry's boundless enthusiasm for all of life, his deep caring for others and his great love of nature, faith and family will continue to uplift us all. Viewing 9-10:30 a.m., service following on Tues., Aug. 7, Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood. Interment to follow at Memorial Garden, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alliance Defense Fund, 15100 N. 90th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85260 or Christian Healthcare Ministries, 127 Hazelwood Ave., Barberton, OH 44203. "Grace and peace be yours in abundance."
