AMBURGEY, Elmer Lee age 90 passed away, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at his home in Centerville after a lengthy illness. He was born January 13, 1922 in Paintsville, KY, son of the late Carlos Richard & Virginia (Preston) Amburgey. Elmer was a decorated WWII Army Veteran who proudly served in the European Campaign and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars. He was a retired employee of Duriron and a member of the Vineyard Church of Dayton. Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Morgan), sons, Rick, Larry & Randy, granddaughter, Tammy; sisters, Shirley, Cea, & Helen, and brother, Don, Elmer is survived by his daughters, Carol Turner (Gary), Kim Carver (Ed) & Penny Bateman (Daniel) & his son, Lin Amburgey; grandchildren, Nick, Jason, Lori, Lance, Angie, Matthew, Morgan & Andrew; great-grandchildren, Austin, Christian, Jamison & Gwendalyn and brother, Fletcher Amburgey (Louise) of FL.
