News Death Notice
LAUTERBACH, Thomas Gene age 67, a native of Dayton, OH, (aka Uncle Tom, Uncle Pumpkin, Doedoe Pig) passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in King George, VA. Born February 10, 1945, Tommy was a 1963 graduate of Chaminade H.S. and married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Miller Lauterbach in 1966. Tom went on to receive his Bachelors of Engineering from the University of Dayton. As an active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Athol Springs, NY, Tom served as a Eucharistic Minister and developed an athletic program that serviced over 200 young athletes. He was an adamant UD Flyers, UM Wolverines, and Buffalo Bills fan who coached baseball for over fifteen years. Tom loved spending time with his family, playing cards, genealogy, golfing, and designing latch hook rugs. His sense of humor was unparalleled. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, his 4 children, and his 5 granddaughters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Here's to you Tom for a life well lived. P,P,& F.
