News Death Notice
SUTHERLAND, Pastor George L. 74, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky on February 7, 1938. George was the pastor of the Ashcraft First Church of God in Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Eades. Survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Ella; sons, Michael, Jeff & George Matthew; daughter, Shelley Thompson; 5 step-children; 23 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren; brother, Randy Sutherland; numerous other relatives & many friends. Funeral service 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at the Ashcraft First Church of God, 2596 Ashcraft Road, Dayton. Pastor Robert Sebastian, officiating. Interment Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) Saturday at the church.
