News Death Notice

FOCHT, Rosalie (Friend) 70 of Mingo, Ohio, formerly of Farmersville, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family; following a courageous 2 1/2 year fight against Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was born July 8, 1942 in Farmersville and was a 1960 graduate of Farmersville High School. In 1963 she graduated from Miami Valley School of Nursing and retired in 2005, after 28 years of service in the field of nursing. Rosalie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved attending school and sporting events of each of her grandchildren. Rosalie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ken, her son, Kent (Lynnette) Focht and their children, Kade Focht , Braeden and Jenna Lotz, her daughter, Kelly (Rick) Hughes and their children, Brayden and Kendell; as well as loving extended family and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred (Hoops) and Paul Friend, her sister Phyllis Stoutenborough, her mother and father-in-law, Victor and Betty Focht and her nephew, Tim Focht. Services to celebrate Rosalie's life will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in Mt Carmel Friends Church, Cable, Ohio, with Pastor Michael Will officiating. On Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 11-3 p.m. with a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Farmersville United Church of Christ, Farmersville, OH with Pastor Michael Will and Pastor Susan Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Valley Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
