News Death Notice
SUGGS, Katherine Wauhnita (nee Garber) died peacefully in Phoenix on Thursday September 13, 2012. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to Paul and Edith Garber on January 8, 1926, where she lived until the 1960's when she moved to Arizona. She was proceeded in death by her mother, father and sisters-in-law Norma Garber and Marie Renner. She is survived by her husband of 63 years James, her daughter Linda O'Rourke (Robert), her three grandchildren Michael, Lori Back (James) and Jeremy, 5 great grandchildren Matthew, Ashley, Sydney, Destiny and Joseph and 3 brothers in the Dayton area Emerson Galen, Paul Jr. (Norma) and Stanley Garber. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews spanning from Ohio to Arizona, as well as countless friends. Wauhnita loved nothing more in life than she loved her family. She loved making personal greeting cards for all occasions for her family and friends. In her lifetime she traveled the world, but found nothing greater than being with her loved ones, either at home in Phoenix or here in Dayton. She was a two-time cancer survivor and, most recently, a heart attack. This beloved lady will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix on September 26, and a celebration of her life will be held here in Dayton at a date yet to be determined.
