News Death Notice
KISSELL, Jr. William F. age 84 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents. William F. Kissell Sr. and Helen (Zimmerman) Kissell, his late wife, Mary Elizabeth (Klosterman) Kissell and his mother-in-law's Eleanor (Klosterman) Sanders and Colletta E. Ott. Bill graduated from Chaminade High School, class of 1946 and the University of Dayton, class of 1952 after serving in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the American Legion Post 598. He retired from the accounting profession after 55 yrs and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, Maria Joseph Council 4022 and Father Kuhlman Assembly 4th Degree serving for 44 years as the Financial Secretary. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary E. Carr Kissell. Four children, Beverly (Larry) Rose, Paula (Gary) Gann, Mary Kay (Steve) Rike, Bill (Karen) Kissell. Five step-children, Ron (Jane) Carr, Chris (Maureen) Carr, Jeff (Gwen) Carr, Jim (Kathy) Carr and Therese Butler. 28 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Liberty Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and compassion given to Bill in his final days. Visitation will be held 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., Friday, December 7th at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Church Far Hills Ave. Kettering following visitation. Burial will follow the mass at Calvary Cemetery.
