HINDERS, Wilmer A. age 89 passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Hinders; daughter, Judy Hinders Craycraft; great-grandson, Liam Adams; sisters: Virginia Ebbinhaus, Andrea Steineman and Anna Mae Halderman; brothers: Woody and Richard Hinders and a brother-in-law, Paul Schmalstig. Wilmer is survived by his children: Linda (Jake) Freyvogel, Dave (Sharon) Hinders, Janet (Craig) Price and Andrew (Alisa) Hinders; grandchildren: Wendy, Tracy, Brandon, Lindsay, Julie, Lauren and Gaven; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Nancy) Hinders; sister, Vera Rocco; brother-in-laws: Ross Ebbinghaus, Donnie Steineman, George Halderman, Charlie Schmalstig, Eddie (Mary) Schmalstig, Tommy (Marilyn) Schmalstig and Jerry (Jodie) Schmalstig; sister-in-laws: Ginny Marshall, Mary (Louie) Hoelscher and Carol (Carl) Kesson and numerous nieces and nephews and friends at Walnut Creek. Wilmer was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 500 and The University of Dayton Flyers Club. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses at Walnut Creek Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for all of your care and compassion. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29th from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to, Hospice of Dayton. Westbrock Funeral Home - Bigger Rd handling arrangements. 434-6161.
