News Death Notice

DIVIAK, Steven V. age 91, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Heartland of Beavercreek. He was born November 7, 1921 in Jeffrey, West Virginia to the late Joseph E. Diviak and Helen (Kalanay) Diviak. He was preceded in death by his eight brothers and sisters and is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara M. (Francis) Diviak and his four children, Steve (Kathy), Patricia, Tom (Pat) and Greg (Sooni). He was also the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and a multitude of great-great grandchildren. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served during WWII as a crew chief on B24 airplanes. In 1951 he was hired at WPAFB as an aircraft mechanic. He remained there until his retirement in 1982. He will be deeply missed. No Grandpa was ever loved more. And no Father will ever be missed more. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek with a service following at 7:00 pm.
