News Death Notice
JACKSON, Mildred (nee Bennett) age 101, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013. She lived a life of love, faith and devotion. She leaves behind her family and friends grieving their loss while celebrating her extraordinary life. Mildred was born September 12, 1911, the daughter of George and Etta Bennett. She outlived all her eight siblings. She was also preceded in death by her husband Nyle (Jack) Jackson. She is survived by her daughter Joan (David) Swafford and son Donald (Patti) Jackson. Mildred was "Grandma" to eight grandchildren, Donald, Douglas, Daniel, Darryl, Diahanne, Jennifer, Amy and Craig; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She loved cooking and baking especially noodles and fried chicken for the grandchildren. Mildred retired from Kroger where she worked in the meat department. She was a long-time member of Creekside Missionary Church in Beavercreek who so faithfully provided her spiritual needs while at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Facility. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Oak Creek for their compassion and loving care for her. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, January 18, 2013 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet at Fauver, with Rev. Mark Masterson officiating. Friends may call on the funeral home from 12:30pm until time of services. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
