BROWN, Britta B. age 86, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 8, 1926, in Meigs County, OH. She was the daughter of the late Claude & Cora Blanche Schultz. She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin P. Brown, brothers Paul (Lorenteen), Monroe (Glenna), Grover (Bernice Gene), Claron (Gloria), Denny Schultz (Marlene), sister Wilma Daniels (Charles), and brother in law Thomas Taylor. She is survived by her sister Thelma Taylor of Ashley, Ohio, and brother Al Schultz (Bette) of Canal Winchester, Ohio, daughter Belita Brown of Miamisburg, son Greg Brown (Maggie) of Springboro, daughter Bettina Scharrer (Steve) of Washington Township, granddaughters Kaitlin Scharrer (fiancé Greg Saluke) of Kettering, Colleen Brown (fiancé Bryan Ellis) of Dana Point, CA, grandson Matthew Scharrer of Washington Township, great grandson Evan Matthew Saluke of Kettering, and numerous nieces and nephews. Britta retired in 1994 from Sinclair Community College after 22 years of service. Britta enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren and especially her 13 month old great grandson. She was a fan of the PGA Golf Tour and even forgave Tiger, as he was her favorite golfer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Sabiers and staff of the Greater Dayton Cancer Center for their loving care of our mother as well as the staff of The Hospice of Dayton. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio 45459, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Sara Cutter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 or the Myelodysplastic Syndromes Foundation (http://www.mds-foundation.org/).
