News Death Notice
SHORT, Robert Byron of Kettering passed away January 28, 2013. Robert was proceeded in death by his wonderful wife Dolly of 59 years. Robert is survived by his three children: Jeffrey (Suzanne) Short of Indianapolis IN., Scott (Alyson) Short of Sycamore Il., Becky (Bernie) Lipps of Mason, OH., and three beautiful granddaughters, Lynn, Katie and Carrie Lipps. Robert is survived by his brother Chuck (Debbie) Short of Ft. Myers FL., sister Juanita (Bob) Prugh of Blue Ash OH, and many nieces and nephews. Robert graduated from Parker Co-Op High School in 1946. He worked at Globe Motors in Dayton Ohio for 40 years. Robert was an excellent golfer and loved the game. Other hobbies included bike riding, juggling and playing the guitar. More than anything Robert loved to be around his friends and family. So that others may learn Bob has donated his body to The Wright State School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held in the fall of 2013 at Wright State to honor Robert and his wife Dolly. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Crossroads Hospice of Kettering. Bob always said: "if you can't get along get a 'short'
