TOMLINSON, Geraldine J. "Jerry" was born March 19, 1917 in Dayton OH, and passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the age of 95. She was the daughter of Ethel N. and Walter K. Jamison (both deceased) of Dayton OH, former wife of John M. Tomlinson (deceased) of Dayton OH and companion for over 30 years to Mary Francis Hamilton (deceased) of Dayton OH. Jerry, as she was known to all, is survived by her brother William (Marge) Jamison of Sylvia NC, daughter Marita A. Quast of Menomonee Falls WI, and son, James A. (Norma Jean) Tomlinson of Maumee OH, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthias (Jean) Jamison of West Palm Beach, FL and sisters, Sarah Helen (John) Campbell of Gates Mills OH, Eleanor J Kirk of San Diego, CA and granddaughter, Ann Quast. She graduated in 1935 from Fairview High School in Dayton OH. She was first employed by Frigidaire in Dayton OH in the Service Dept. She later worked for Elgin Roof as typist for his Trotwood Tribute newspaper, for the Trotwood-Madison Schools as a receptionist and secretary to the superintendent, and lastly, for the Hulman Building in downtown Dayton OH as a receptionist and secretary to the building manager. She also volunteered for over 20 years at Kettering Memorial Hospital in Dayton OH. She was a past member of the Trotwood (OH) United Church of Christ and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton OH. She enjoyed her pet poodles, backyard wildlife, needlework, family, and playing organ music. After the death of her house companion, Mary Francis, in July 2009, Jerry moved to northwest Ohio to be near her son. A private service and burial will be held Dayton Memorial Park.
