News Death Notice
SMITH, Roland Dale 92 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:25pm at Hospice of Dayton. Roland retired from NCR after 30 years. He took great pride in being a member of Toastmasters; and was the owner of Linden Ave Florist for many years. He donated to the disabled veterans. Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Belpha; and is survived by his daughter, Brenda Myers and Ben of Vandalia; his sons, Gary Smith and Kathy of Leander, TX and Bradley Smith and Rita of Xenia; his sister Marguerite Wilder of Dayton; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Megan, Bailey, Broc and Tyler; and by 4 great grandchildren, David, Wyatt, Brianna and Bradley. Visitation and service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio from 9 to 11:00. Immediately following Roland will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
