News Death Notice

McKENNY, Charles Henry (Butch) age 66, of Kettering passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was born on April 19, 1946 to the late Lawrence D. Sr. and Frances L. (McClusky) McKenny in Troy. Charles served his country in the U.S Army and was stationed at Fort Carson, CO. Charles was an active member of Queen of Apostles Church and sang in the choir. He loved supporting UD basketball, enjoyed telling stories and jokes, fishing, golf and most of all his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fr. Richard McKenny, and Lawrence McKenny, Jr. Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon, children, Mark (Sharon) McKenny, Kristen (Kevin) Lee, Sarah (John) Patrick and Peter (Lisa McCormack) McKenny; grandchildren, Morgan, Lanie, Olivia, Alexander, Nicholas, Andrew and Emma; brother,Thomas McKenny; sisters, Carolyn Root, Marilyn Zientara and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to the QAC community. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Queen of Apostles church, 4435 E. Patterson Rd., Beavercreek. Family will greet friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
