News Death Notice

HELLICKSON, Charles E. "Chuck" age 81 of Beavercreek, passed into the arms of the Lord April 4, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Doris Louise, for 54 beautiful years; beloved father of Norma J. Dupre of Beavercreek, Bruce C. Hellickson & wife Kathleen of Pataskala, OH, David A. Hellickson & wife Amy of Kettering; beloved grandfather of Ryan A. McNutt & Courtney N. Dupre, Christopher C. Hellickson & Brittney L. Hellickson, Jacob A. Hellickson & Bryan J. Hellickson; beloved great-grandfather of Axel L.A. Hellickson. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Krista Marie McNutt. Chuck is also survived by brothers, Floyd of WA, Glenn of IA, and Gerald of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard & sister Frances. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for over 50 years & served in the USAF during the Korean War. Chuck worked for 33 years at DESC, retiring in 1987, and was a member of the 25 year DESC Retiree Club. He loved bowling, golfing & the outdoors. Chuck was an avid entrepreneur, repairing everything from vehicles to mowers. Visitation will be held on Tues., April 9, 2013 from 5-8pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1240 S. Maple Ave., Fairborn, and Wed. 10-11am with funeral service to follow. Graveside service Wed. 2:30pm at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church's Benevolence Fund or to the Bethlehem Lutheran School. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel.
