News Death Notice
KOOGLER, Lula Burnice (Shover) age 91, of Englewood, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She had worked for 18 years as a cashier with Sunshine Biscuit. Burnice was a member of the Englewood Pentecostal Church of God. The family would like to thank Dr. Mike Tuchfarber and the staff at Sycamore Hospital, and to The Hospice of Dayton for the care and support that they provided to Burnice. She is survived by her children: Shirley Mullins of West Carrollton, Barbara Chinn of West Carrollton, James (Lucille) Thompson of Clayton, Phillip (Maria) Thompson of Moraine, Kieffer (Ngoc) Thompson of Miamisburg, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Julia (Cannaday) Shover, husband: Bernard Koogler, son: Pearl Edward Thompson, grandchildren: Trina Thompson, Charles Chinn, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Eddie Clements officiating. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
