News Death Notice
PERKINS, Elmer Ray age 78, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born August 24, 1934, in Gatliff, Kentucky, the son of Florence and Woodrow Wilson Perkins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Lois Jane (Shelton) Perkins; a grandson: Robert Kyle Perkins; and a brother: Carl T. Perkins. He is survived by his sons: David Perkins of Beavercreek; Jeffrey Perkins of Fayetteville, NC and Anthony (Gail) Perkins of Springboro; grandchildren: Joseph Perkins of Hampton, Maine, Olivia, Emily and Anna Perkins of Springboro, OH and Nicholas and Taylor Carusone; sisters: Nora Sue (Bernard) Croley of Williamsburg, KY; Phyllis(Terry) Sherer of Ft. Myers, FL and Ruby (Jack) Hilliard of Orlando, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the US Army and retired from General Motors after 36 years of service. He was an avid bowler and softball player. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday, April 18th at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Services will be held Saturday, at the Croley Funeral Home, Williamsburg, KY. Interment will follow at the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Whitley Co., KY.
