News Death Notice

ARMSTRONG, Fannie Bernice age 77, of Dayton, born in Calhoun County, Anniston, Alabama, passed away June 26, 2013. A graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1955. She worked at McCall's for several years then attended Honey's School of Cosmetology, achieving a beautician career for over 30 years. She was a member of Pernella Tubb International Masons, No.106 in Dayton and a faithful member of Revelation Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lottie Howard; father of her children, George; daughter, Tawaka; stepfather, Edward Bonner; stepsister, Betty Mosby. She leaves precious memories with her sons, Derrick (Christie) & Derrond (Vernita); brother, Walter Howard; stepbrother, Joe Bonner; grandchildren, Darius, Derian, Dejanae, Derronda & Jordan; great grandchildren, Darius Jr., Madison & Davis; God-daughter, Earlisha Scott; other relatives and friends including the Revelation M.B. Church family. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Revelation M.B. Church, 1496 Swinger Drive. Pastor John W. Jackson, Sr. officiating. Interment Greencastle Cemetery. Visitation from 10 am to 1 pm. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue.
